[nggallery id=8]Yesterday we had the opportunity to tour the new Sedona Red Rock Center for the Performing Arts. The Center is part of the Sedona Red Rock High School complex. The Center will seat 750 people was built for 12.5 million dollars and is actually part of SRRHS.
A demonstration of the sound system was very impressive. They played part of the new Iron Man movie for our group and it was better than most movie theaters.
Although located at SRRHS, the facility is for the entire community and will be used for community meetings and events. The facility includes a satellite dish. One of the first uses will be to broadcast “Live at the Met”.
In the project was also included a second gymnasium for the high school and a solar energy facility. The school is net zero for energy consumption.
It’s an exciting project that the community voted it’s support for and we are looking forward to visiting it often for events.
